In an interview, Clinton’s new pollster says Obama’s comments are "fair game" for an attack ad, and makes the case that they’ll hurt him in the general.
On a conference call this afternoon, David Axelrod said Obama “regrets” the comments, but turned the focus back to Clinton’s claims that she’s consistently opposed Nafta.
