For example, the Benator, we hear took a five-day trip to Israel to participate in 60th anniversary celebrations.  Also on hand? Tom Ridge and Christine Todd Whitman. 

Of course the Benator, who never shies anyway from any audience — the man was a former governor, you know - met with at least Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, former PM Benjamin Netanyahu and President Shimon Peres. They all talked shop - Israeli security, Middle East peace process, Iran and peace effort with Syria. And he was in Israel when the bulldozer rampage occurred, but was not nearby at the time.

Then he returned home to Nebraska Thursday and by Friday, was marching in a July 4th Parade. Better yet, he got to walk upfront, in front of the four-footed participants.
