More GOP leadership race drama. Of course.
Apparently there’s a faction of conservative Members who are revolting against Minority “Still” Leader John Boehner’s “attempt to force leadership votes next week instead of waiting until January,” snitches a source in the know of this faction.
“How can you have the 110th Members voting on 111th leadership?” scoffs the insider.
So, there’s a group pushing for the GOP leadership votes to be held in January.
UPDATE: Well, well, well. A more insidery-insider tells Shenan that this faction can just calm down and only Members of the 111th Congress are allowed to vote and Boehner isn’t “forcing” anything. “They are held next week to coincide with the orientation for new Members and give the new leadership team time to plan.”
