The number’s in: 200 Inaug tickets for each House member

“The word from upon high just came down,” a Hill staffer tells us. “Looks like each House office (rank and file, that is) will be getting 200 tickets. To match our 1,000+ requests. Oh well, staffers get first dibs!”

The Joint Congressional Committee for the Inauguration Ceremony is not releasing numbers. But the last Inaugural House members received around 180 tickets.

Naturally, Senators get more, mainly because they represent entire states and not just one district. As of now those offices haven’t heard their numbers yet.

Of course, tickets will be even harder to grab onto considering popular ticket sites StubHub and eBay have agreed not to sell them. Madame Chairwoman Corleone (aka Dianne Feinstein) thanks them effusively in a statement about it, hoping other internet sites follow suit.

The roars of complaints will be starting in…..3…..2……1.
