We’re on a presidential theme today.
Want to eat like a president-elect? Obama’s favorite pizzeria, Italian Fiesta Pizza in Hyde Park, "is taking its spicy-sauced, thin crust pizza to D.C. for an event previewing the food at the inauguration," HuffPo says.
What is an Inaugural Trade show exactly? Well, as it was explained to us, the Ritz Carlton has set up its ballroom with basically everything it’s doing for its Inaug guests: Beds will be set up with embroidered linens with the Inaugural seal, there will be food stations with the food the hotel is serving, bars with specialty drinks, Saks Fifth Avenue is doing an informal fashion show, plus, as the Ritz has partnered up with the Animal Rescue League, there will be doggies there for adoption. (With a nice presidential puppy poll, asking guests to vote for what kind of dog the Obama’s should get.)
"It’s like one stop shopping," described one. Plus, popular renowned chef Eric Ripert will be there, debuting his special menu for "Westend Bistro."
