Since John McCain stood up David Letterman for Katie Couric, the late-night host has sounded off almost nightly against the Republican nominee. All that might change, according to the NY Post.

McCain representatives and "Late Show" executives are negotiating an appearance on Letterman’s show sometime around the final presidential debate on Oct. 15, according to knowledgeable sources.

McCain is expected to be in the New York area that week for the debate at Hofstra University on Long Island.
