Obama is up with this unreleased response ad in Ohio, pushing back against the Judicial Confirmation Network’s attack, which suggested Obama would appoint people like Ayers, Rezko, and Wright — rather than Alito and Roberts — to the Supreme Court.
Joe Biden narrates the spot, which begins with an image of the negative spots:
"I chaired the Senate Committee that reviews judicial nominations," he says in the spot. "I know Barack Obama. These ads are ridiculous. Barack loves his country. He’s condemned the acts of these people. They don’t work in our campaign, and they won’t work in our White House.
"And if you want to know what kind of poeple Barack will consult as president, well, you’re looking at him," he concludes.
The Republican National Committee spotted the ad, and spokesman Alex Conant demanded "honest explanations from Barack Obama about his relationships with Tony Rezko and Bill Ayers" rather than "sending out his running mate to further mislead and misdirect voters."
