Aren’t they just pulling out all the stops! Which, for the GOP, pretty much always means bringing out Keeeeeeeeelsey Graaaaaaaaammer.
(Or, kind of appropriately, Sideshow Bob for all you “Simpsons” fans.)
Grammer’s reuniting with his “Cheers!” pal John Ratzenberger in hopes to bring out the McCain vote in Nevada, the RNC announced yesterday: “Nevada Victory announced today that the “Victory 2008” bus tour will be in Nevada on Friday, October 10 to rally support for John McCain, Sarah Palin, and the entire Republican ticket. Supporting them, actors Kelsey Grammer and John Ratzenberger, who played Dr. Frasier Crane and Cliff Clavin, respectively, on the television show “Cheers,” will address grassroots volunteers, participate in voter-registration activities, and speak to voters.”
Ooh maybe a new McCain theme song?
[Making your way in the world today
Takes everything you've got;
Taking a break from all your worries
Sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?]
….
“Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name.” Which quite clearly is not the case in Nevada.
Oh, the irony.
